The history of this company is far -reaching and begins in 1929 as a national radiator society. 1936 known as Heinrich List Works for Electrical Engineering and Mechanics. The manufacturing profile included electrical measuring devices, test devices, resistors and facilities for the air equipment. In 1940 the "Society for Aviation Nurses" settled. 1941 Foundation as a company Dr. Hell with a range that includes telephone, equipment for the navy as well as radio and location equipment. 1946 Foundation of Askania Feinmechanik and Optik GmbH Teltow. Two years later It expropriated and renamed "VEB Mechanik Askania Teltow". At the beginning of 1952, the newly employed plant manager Josef Triebe decided to develop the company into a company of industrial automation.
