This vintage armchair was made as a prototype for what later became the iconic Rex Kralj chairs. It was designed by Niko Kralj for the manufacturer Stol Kamnik in 1953 Yugoslavia, model name 100. The frame is made out of bentwood while the rattan net is hand-woven. Due to the high production cost this chair never made it into mass industrial production. Niko Kralj chairs are well loved for their beautiful design and ergonomic, comfortable seat. This is a truly iconic, extremely rare piece, taking us to the beginning stages of that story. DIMENSIONS (cca) Height: 74 cm Width: 53 cm Depth: 65 cm Seat Height: 40 cm Seat Width x Depth: 46 cm x 43.5 cm CONDITION Very good vintage state with minor signs of age and use to the wood (see photographs). The cane net has been renewed.
