About This Piece

Vintage Design

Vintage coat hanger made from sturdy, thick wooden panels surrounded by a deep frame, both laquered a dark, mottled brown. The beautiful mottling is due to the natural variation in wood grain and how it soaked up the laquer. The three hooks are dark gold coloured metal. It closely resembles the style of Cassina, Italy and Meblo, Yugoslavia (the most known item produced by both is the trio of nesting tables designed by Gianfranco Frattini) and was likely made in the 60s or 70s. The wall hanger is quite sturdy and heavy (cca 10 kg) and can be either fixed on the wall (see photo of the back side) or leaned on it.
