Berlin-based Atelier Fesseler creates finely crafted furniture and writing implements using both native and exotic wood species.
Jean-Frédéric Fesseler is the designer behind Atelier Fesseler. Fesseler obtained a degree in cabinet making from the Institut Saint-Luc de Tournai in Belgium. Through different styles d’époques, he learned traditional wood-working techniques and understanding of furniture construction. After graduating, he specialized in mobile creations. In addition to his studies in Belgium, he has learned the essential knowledge of wood-working through his father, Klaus Fesseler, a furniture restorer. In order to broaden his knowledge and get in touch with contemporary design and production tendencies, Fesseler attended and graduated from the Escuela Superior De Disseny Llotja in Barcelona.
Currently, his work focuses on making furniture with moving parts and high end writing instruments.
