Oil on panel. Signed in the lower right corner. On the back there is a stamp of the artist's studio-art store in Naples.
The view of the bay of Naples offers a view of a landing for boats of fishermen, along a beach populated with many figures, stands in the background Vesuvius, whose contour fades in the cloudy sky and gray, which takes away the sunlight to the day, illuminated rather by the bustle of people on the promenade.
Very little is known about the Neapolitan artist Eduardo Scognamiglio: in his production there are numerous views and views, especially Neapolitan, but also popular scenes and portraits of popular figures.
His production had a large following even abroad, where he was known, appreciated, and widely requested, earning the English name of Edwardo.
