About This Piece

Vintage Design

Large jug made of hand-hammered brass, marked Hayno Focken, manufactured in Germany in the 1930s. The object follows a clear, functional design language and is exemplary of metal craftsmanship in the Bauhaus milieu.

The well-proportioned body with a slightly flared neck is complemented by an elegantly curved handle made of brass band. The finely textured surface reveals the craftsmanship that went into its production. Original, age-appropriate patina. Interior patina typical of the material.
Very good original condition with age-related signs of wear and patina. Occasional minimal, superficial residues in the textured surface, due to the material and age. No damage or restoration.
