Born on November 11, 1884, in Charlottenlund, Augusta Thejll Clemmensen received her artistic education at various institutions, including Charlotte Sode and Julie Meldahl's drawing school and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. She embarked on numerous travels throughout Europe, enriching her artistic perspective and contributing to her diverse body of work.

Clemmensen's works have been exhibited widely, including at the Charlottenborg Spring and Autumn Exhibitions and the Artists' Autumn Exhibition. Notable pieces include "Mine tre børn" (1920), "Mogens Clemmensen" (1927), and "Selvportræt" (1930). Her contributions to Danish art continue to be celebrated, cementing her place in the country's cultural heritage.
