A thoroughly delightful pair of antique French Empire brass inlaid flame mahogany bedside cabinets, circa 1830 in date. They are freestanding and finished on all four sides. They each feature bombe' sides and shaped rectangular mottled Rouge de Rance marble tops with three quarter brass galleries above oak lined drawers, cupboard doors and raised on turned reeded legs that terminate in a platform base raised on ball feet. Add an elegant touch to your home with these lovely bedside chests. THE BOTANICAL NAME FOR THE MAHOGANY THESE ITEMS ARE MADE OF IS SWIETENIA MACROPHYLLA AND THIS TYPE OF MAHOGANY IS NOT SUBJECT TO CITES REGULATION. Condition: In really excellent condition having been beautifully cleaned, polished and waxed in our workshops, please see photos for confirmation.
