About This Piece

Vintage Design

Traditional chimney element used to cook, called "donkey." It is a wrought iron structure with two sides for small staves and an arm articulated by hinges, which can be rotated and made perpendicular to the structure, in which a "transmallo" chain is suspended, with a hook to hang the saucepan you want Heat in the chimney.
It is a traditional element in Spanish wood kitchens, specifically from the Galicia region, used from medieval times.
