Vintage Design

Neoclassical mirror from Lucca, carved and gilded with gouache. The rectangular frame features a carved string of pearls and an engraved and then gilded background; the typical Lucca carvings are applied to the frame, a cymatium with facing dragons holding floral festoons starting from the central vase, at the feet of the dragons a shelf with a cascade of leaves descends to the sides, in the base two feral feet with acanthus leaves hold the mirror , two mercury mirror plates.
