Vintage Storage Unit on Wheels by Joe Colombo for Bieffeplast, 1970s

Boby is a funny buggy! Designed by Joe Colombo in the 70s and published in Italy by Bieffeplast, this ultra-ingenious cart won its creator a first prize in the Industrial Design Awards. Made of plastic, the sideboard features shelves, 3 pivoting drawers and storage niches for neat organization and optimal storage. Mounted on castors, this seventies piece of furniture is easy to use and will be of great service! Its lines are masterful and iconic of Italian design. Whether you're storing building bricks in the nursery, brushes, tubes of paint and vials of pigment in the workshop, or bottles and small accessories in the bathroom... the sideboard is sure to be a hit!

The "Boby" wheeled sideboard was designed by Joe Colombo in the 70s. The model is signed and published by Bieffeplast in Italy. Made entirely of plastic, this red version is very tonic. The cart, mounted on 4 perfectly functional castors, features 3 pivoting drawers, storage niches and shelves. Scratches are visible, as well as missing parts and small cracks on the bottom of the cart. A previous owner removed the pencil pot bottoms from the upper compartment.
