Labelled Murano ''Sommerso'' glass vase - Italy, 1970s. ''Sommerso'' is a technique developed in Murano in the 1930s which was very popular in the 1950s-70s. The result is a glass with contrasting colours that is commonly cased by a clear layer. Colours: red and clear. Original label slightly worn but still intact (it can be very easily removed if wanted). Dimensions: height: 15 cm; width: 4.5 cm; depth: 4.5 cm. Very good vintage condition, a couple of tiny chips shown on the last two pictures.
