Sculptural Italian Art Deco club armchairs in richly figured burl wood, offered in original condition and ideal for bespoke reupholstery. Exceptional pair of Italian Art Deco club armchairs with sculptural bentwood frames executed in richly figured burl wood, Italy, circa 1920s–1930s. These armchairs exemplify the refined yet expressive language of early Italian Art Deco design. The continuous, flowing armrests create a powerful sculptural silhouette, giving the chairs a strong architectural presence from every angle. The burl wood frames display striking natural grain patterns and a deep, warm patina developed over decades, highlighting the quality and craftsmanship of the period. The chairs are offered in original, unrestored condition and retain their original upholstery, which shows clear age-related wear consistent with time and use. While the upholstery contributes to their authenticity, a full reupholstery is recommended.
