This is an antique morning room chair. A French, beech and textile open wing back armchair, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1850.

Appealing armchair with tasteful upholstery and striking open form
Displays a desirable aged patina, lightly time worn through careful use
Beech frame presents warm caramel hues and fine grain interest
Traditionally stuffed cushion and back rest offers a comfortable experience

Domed top framed with broad wing back shoulders
Distinctively shaped arm rests adorned with relief carvings
Finished in a cream coloured upholstery with embroidered centre panels
Panels host delicate foliate bouquets in a delightful colour palette

Press stud beading accentuates the apron line and outer wing edges
Profuse carving continuing upon the show frame and legs
Striking leaf and scrolled forms draw the eye throughout
Raised upon a quartet of canted cabriole legs with pad feet

This is a fine antique morning room chair, with a tasteful colour and appealing form. Lightly time worn from careful use, but ready to enjoy as is. Could also be reupholstered to individual taste.
