Erwin Eisch war ein herausragender deutscher Glaskünstler und Mitbegründer der internationalen Studioglasbewegung. Geboren am 18. April 1927 in Frauenau im Bayerischen Wald, begann Eisch seine künstlerische Karriere zunächst als Maler und Bildhauer, bevor er sich der Glaskunst zuwandte. Seine Arbeiten zeichnen sich durch eine expressive Formsprache und die Integration von Malerei und Skulptur in Glas aus. Eischs Werke sind in renommierten Museen weltweit vertreten, und er gilt als Pionier, der die traditionellen Grenzen der Glaskunst sprengte. Seine Glashütte in Frauenau war nicht nur Produktionsstätte, sondern auch ein kreatives Zentrum, das Künstler und Kunstliebhaber aus aller Welt anzog.
