About This Piece

This high quality brooch was created and crafted in fine sterling silver by the renown Goldsmith and jewelry designer Finn Jensen in Oslo, Norway around 1960.

The sleek and nicely detailed mid-century design piece is set on gilt sterling silver, stamped with label / hallmarked: 925. It features a beautiful turquoise enamel cover with gold gilt finish.

Finn Jensen was a student of Jacob Tostrup and started his career as a goldsmith in the 1941. He founded Jensen & Aarmodt before becoming the sole owner of his own company Finn Jensen in 1953. He passed way in 1976.

The company was famous for producing fine guilloché enamel jewelry, pins, bracelets, traditional so-called 'Solje' shiny silver wedding brooches, as well as abstract design jewelry.
