This dining room set, comprising a large and small buffet, an extendable dining table, and six chairs, represents an exceptional example of Viennese Art Nouveau. Designed by Fritz Nagel around 1910 and crafted in the renowned art furniture workshop of his father Adolf Nagel, it combines the clear, austere design language of Prof. Josef Hoffmann with the creative originality of Prof. Koloman Moser. Nagel was fortunate to study under both iconic architects during his time at the Vienna School of Applied Arts between 1891 and 1896.

Nagel's designs received international acclaim at prominent exhibitions, including the Paris Expo 1900 (Gold Medal), the St. Louis World's Fair 1904, and the Vienna Kunstschau 1908. This dining room set reflects his close connection to Viennese Modernism and the high standards of the Wiener Werkstätte, creating a harmonious Gesamtkunstwerk of enduring beauty and cultural significance.

The furniture, made of limed oak, exudes timeless elegance, accented by intricately hammered brass applications and fittings. The chairs are upholstered with beige genuine leather. Both keys and locks bear identifying marks.
