Turning into gold console, rooms Dimensions: L 90, W 90, H 75.5 black metal L 90, W 48, H 75.5 brass L 2.40, W 90, H 75.5 brass Material: Black metal and brass Turning into gold console Inspired by the concept of Alchemy: “Alchemy is a philosophical and photo scientific tradition. It aimed to purify, mature, and perfect certain objects”, we tried to imitate its common aim which was the transmutation of “base metals” (e.g., lead) into “noble” ones (particularly gold). We created a set of tables and tried to reflect this transformation (from metal into “Gold”). Admiring Alchemist’s strong sense of belief into the process that changes or transforms something in a mysterious way, we wanted to demonstrate the power of transformation of the things for the better. These sculptural tables have simple and minimal forms. The surface material has been neatly gridded, introducing an urbane and textured finish. The set of three tables can be set as one gradient piece consisting of all three tables, or they can be displayed separately. The tables available in two sizes, have been designed in black (metal), dark (rust) and gold (brass).
