By replacing the traditional four legs with a single, graceful pedestal, Saarinen created a silhouette that feels as futuristic today as it did half a century ago. This specific set captures the essence of 1970s luxury, combining the cold elegance of marble with the fluid lines of the tulip base.

Proven Authenticity & Provenance

The Table (1973 Edition): Explicitly marked "Knoll International" with the production date "1973" engraved into the cast metal underneath the heavy base.

The 4 Chairs (1977 Edition): Each chair retains its original "Knoll" manufacturer's label dated "1977" located beneath the seat cushions.

This set is in excellent vintage condition, having been meticulously cared for:

Table & Chair Bases: The original white lacquer remains bright and glossy. There are very minor, age-appropriate micro-scratches on the circular bases, which are virtually invisible and consistent with 50 years of light use.

Marble Top: The stone is healthy, vibrant, and well-preserved.

Cushions: To ensure hygiene and comfort, the cushions are not original but have been professionally renovated and reupholstered in a high-quality dark fabric, providing a beautiful contrast to the white shells.

Exquisite Craftsmanship & Materials
The 107 cm circular table features a premium marble top with a characteristic grey vein, resting on a heavy white-lacquered cast aluminum base. The four chairs are crafted from molded fiberglass-reinforced plastic shells atop matching swivel-style tulip bases.
