About This Piece

An evocative and serene portrait in oil dating from the 20th Century. Titled 'Magdala seated', this is an original painting by Thea Dupays, signed in the bottom left hand corner. Thea studied at Goldsmiths and has exhibited in London and Bath, including at the R.W.A. Thea works in oil across landscape, still life, and portrait, creating simple yet memorable compositions which evoke calm and draw the viewer in.
