After training at the Polytechnic of Milan, he took over the management of the family business, transforming it from a classic cabinet-making shop to a laboratory for experimenting with modern design. with the founding of Tecno in 1953 and his ongoing activity with Arredamenti Borsani Varedo, he developed a personal, refined and innovative language, always oriented towards absolute quality and the integration of art, architecture and industry.
Fundamental to his career were his collaborations with artists such as Lucio Fontana and Arnaldo Pomodoro, which led him to conceive environments in which the furniture was no longer a simple functional object, but part of a total vision of space. with Fontana he created furnishings and panels in which the surface becomes material to be perforated, to be opened to light and gesture. with Pomodoro he carries out formal research on sign and matter, inserting sculptural elements into interior design projects, in a constant dialogue between function and art.
