Many of our favorites happen to have been designed by grads from the Royal College of Art—that venerable London-based institution that, seemingly like magic, brings forth outstanding designers year after year. Tap those creative juices and serve up some advanced design thinking.

First, a table guaranteed to be a conversation starter! We love Peter Marigold's ingenious half cast/half mold Osso Table.

Next: the dishes, of course. We can't get enough of Eyal Burstein's Homemaker collection for 1882 Ltd. It features—what else?—illustrations of breakout designs by a roster of 2006 RCA grads  (Glithero, Max Lamb, Joe Malia, Peter Marigold, Oscar Narud, Raw Edges, Study O Portable, and of course, Burstein himself).

Serving ware is key. Why not look to Max Lamb's versatile Crockery set?
