A wonderland installation
Segno Italiano at Antonio Marras
On our first day in Milan, we stopped by Circolo Marras, Sardinian fashion designer Antonio Marras's wonderland shop and exhibition space. Almost like stepping out of the city and into an enchanted forest, Marras's stunning space is covered in hanging wisteria, his gorgeous fashion, and fairytale-like vignettes.
For Salone, Marras is hosting Segno Italiano*, a young, fantastic, Milan-based trio who specialize in modern manufacturing of traditional, Italian artisan pieces—ceramics, cookware, furniture, and more. Bringing fashion and design together in one poetic, magical space, the installation reinforces just how exceptional both collaborators are as craftsmen and storytellers. Inspired by Loredana Berté's hit 80s song, Volo Planare, Marras and Segno Italiano set up a theatrical dinner scene for the week, complete with charming, ceramic entrees and dramatic guests. A wonderful way to start the week off!
If you're in town, be sure to visit Marras and Segno Italiano at Cola de Rienzo 8 in Milano. And stay tuned for more from Milan this week!
* Segno Italiano has sinced changed their name to Eligo.
