During my stay in Mexico City, I headed to my favorite little street: General Francisco Ramirez, Colonia Daniel Garza. Certainly not the most charming street at first glance, but lo and behold this is where you'll find the house and studio of Luis Barragan, the country's most celebrated Modernist architect.
And as if that weren't enough, on this same little street you'll also find LABOR Gallery where Pamela Echeverría runs one of the most interesting contemporary art programs with an outstanding stable of artists, including one one my absolute favourites Pedro Reyes. Just opposite LABOR you'll find Archivo, a foundation dedicated to design where they are currently showing the Archivo's owner, Fernando Romero, own collection.
