Collective Affection
Hotel Particulier is a self described café/salon and curated shop/gallery on Grand Street in New York. Caroline van Hoek had told me about a jeweler, Edgar Mosa, who was going to be showing his work there, and I was also pretty keen to check out this newish space.
Right now they're putting on Collective Affection: Fragments, Sketches, & Objects a collaboration show with a group of artists and designers that includes two multidisciplinary artists, an art jeweler, an eyewear designer, a perfumer, a sound artist, two photographers, a creative printer, and an art director.
If, like me, you're a sucker for rough concrete floors and spaces that feel a little industrial you'll enjoy this space.
Collective Affection is on at Hotel Particulier until Sept. 6th.
