Vintage Design

We present this splendid table lamp, made in Italy in the 1970s. The lamp is crafted from satin-chrome steel.
The lampshade perfectly matches the lamp's lines, and the light, unadorned fabric complements the overall design. The lamp has three internal bulbs that can be turned on or off separately, allowing you to adjust the light intensity you need.

The lamp features the original "Reggiani Made in Italy" label, certifying the identity of the famous Italian designer Goffredo Reggiani. Reggiani was renowned for creating futuristic, space-age lamps with an innovative approach to the use of modern materials such as steel.

It is in excellent condition; the electrical system fully functional, and the lampshade fabric is in good condition with minor signs of wear consistent with its age (see detailed photos). Please note that if you wish to customize the lamp, you can choose to replace the lampshade fabric.

About the Creator

Goffredo Reggiani

Not a lot of biographical information is available on the Italian lighting designer and entrepreneur Goffredo Reggiani, however it can be surmised that he was particularly active in the lighting sector during the 1950s throughout the 1970s.

Reggiani founded his eponymous lighting factory in Brianza, Italy, a region known for its tradition in industry. In his designs, Reggiani utilized mainly chrome, as well as opaline glass and teak, to create Space Age designs, such as sputnik style chandeliers, globe-shaped table lamps, and floor lamps with trumpet-like diffusers. During the 1970s, Reggiani developed the first range of low voltage halogen lamps in Europe.

Today, the company is still in operation, creating interior and exterior lighting for both the private and public sectors.
