This lovely little Louis Vuitton steamer trunk features the very sought after monogram woven canvas, leather trim, solid brass corners, solid brass locks, and side handles. Its brass locks, studs and side handles are all marked Louis Vuitton.
It has got a very warm patina. It has got many traveling labels on that add a lot of charm to this particular piece.
Its interior is partly original too, as its brown teft section as well as its quilting have been redone a while ago, exactly like it originally was. it still has its original large Louis Vuitton label showing its serial number. Generaly speaking, its interior is in good shape when you keep in mind that it is over 120 years old.
It still has got its original zinc bottom to protect this trunk from humidity during former travels in humid countries.
A bespoke wooden stand has been made in order ho lift it and allow a more convenient use.
Please note that without its stand this Vuitton trunk is 41 cm tall and it comes to 56 cm thanks to its wooden stand.
Thanks to its very unusual proportions, it would be perfect as a nightstand, an end of sofa table or many other uses.
