Set of 2 elegant and rare mirror wall lights designed by Oscar Torlasco for Stilkronen during 1970s.The structure is composed by lacquered wood frame with bevelled mirror, the lamp is made by brass and cut glass. Excellent original vintage condition.The electric system has been overhauled. European wiring 220 V.It works with E14 standard bulb, suitable also with led bulb.

About the Creator

Oscar Torlasco

Italian lighting designer Oscar Torlasco (born in Rome, 1934-2004) designed for a wide array of Italian lighting manufacturers including Esperia and Stilkronen, though he spent most of his career designing for Lumi.

Particularly active during the 1950s and 1960s, Torlasco’s lighting designs - which span sconces, floor lamps, and chandeliers - often utilized industrial chromed steel which he paired with more luxurious materials such as marble, crystal, and brass. His eclectic designs ranged in style from industrial and Space Age to Italian Art Deco. The use of optical glass lenses within his designs is considered Torlasco's signature. In 1959, he was awarded a Compasso d`Oro for his public street light Genova 4053 (1959).
