This custom-made Island Sofa reflects Donghia’s American design heritage and its long-standing reputation for refined glamour and architectural upholstery. The sculptural, asymmetrical form is conceived as an “island” seating concept—designed to be viewed from multiple angles and to function as a visual anchor within a space rather than as perimeter seating.

The upholstery uses the iconic Scalamandré “Tiger” velvet, a historic textile pattern associated with high-fashion interiors and collector-level design, here rendered in a bold pink and black palette that amplifies the sofa’s graphic presence.
