About This Piece

Vintage Design

This rare pair of Poliarte wall lamps was designed by Albano Poli and handcrafted in Verona, Italy in the 1970s. Each lamp features a striking combination of 14 pulegoso glass blocks in violet and frosted white, mounted on a rectangular stainless steel backplate. The signature pulegoso technique gives the glass a textured, semi-opaque appearance filled with bubbles—an effect that diffuses the light beautifully. These sculptural sconces are fitted with three E14 sockets and work beautifully with mirrored or silver bowl bulbs.

A fine example of Italian mid-century experimentation, these lamps merge raw materiality with precise geometric structure, offering not only illumination but an architectural lighting statement. Excellent conditions, with original wiring. Slight discoloration of the bulb holders.

Ideal for design collectors, curators and interiors with a bold and artistic sensibility.
