About This Piece

Contemporary Design

Limited Edition, Port Saint Laurent Marble Soie Console, Esther Knopfler Dimensions: L 123 cm x W 30 cm x H 86 cm Material: Port Saint Laurent. The Wriggle Collection epitomizes an innovative approach to furniture design, imbued with a sculptural ethos. Despite the inherent weight of its marble construction, the collection endeavors to evoke an essence of ethereal lightness and graceful refinement. In a poignant reflection of contemporary existence, it contemplates the exigencies of modern life, wherein individuals navigate perpetual flux and uncharted uncertainties. Moreover, it speaks to the paradoxical nature of our daily burdens: while we outwardly appear poised for action, inwardly we bear the weight of unseen burdens, a reality often concealed from the world’s gaze. Esther Knopfler creates sculptural furniture that transcends the boundary between functional design and art.
