Large oil on canvas signed Karel Dupon.

Karel Dupon jr. (07/15/1926) is the grandson of the sculptor Karel Dupon sr. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bruges (1942-1948) and Antwerp (1950-1952).

Awarded the van Lerius 1952 in Antwerp and the provincial award sculpture in West Flanders in 1970.

As a sculptor, he mostly worked and developed the theme of the ''cat'' in different shapes and style in clay materials, ceramic, stone and as gold and silver jewelry. His 'cats in bags' (1970) is located PMMK Ostend.

The observation of the cat and his behavior led him to write ''cat doodles''. (Source: lexicon of west flemish visual artists 5, Association of west flemish writers, 1996, p. 77).
