About This Piece

Vintage Design

Set of six dark-stained solid oak chairs, designed by Henry Jacques Le Même around 1940.

Each model rests on tapered legs supporting a square seat with rounded edges. The two-part backrest is connected by horizontal slats that emphasize the simple, rigorous geometry of the whole. With their sturdy, refined design, these chairs are in keeping with the mountain aesthetic and modernist approach championed by Jacques Le Même in his high-altitude designs.
