Table lamp made entirely of blown Murano glass, with sculptural silhouette and luminous transparencies. Design attributed to Tommaso Barbi, Italy, 1970s.u2028This refined Murano glass table lamp is a rare example of Italian artistic craftsmanship from the 1970s, and is attributed to renowned designer Tommaso Barbi, known for his ability to fuse matter, light and organic forms into striking decorative objects. Made entirely of blown glass, including the base, the lamp features a fluid silhouette, with plays of transparencies and reflections that enhance its three-dimensionality even when turned off. The soft curves and balanced proportion make it a true light sculpture, perfect for elegant settings, both classic and contemporary. Murano's production, an expression of the highest quality craftsmanship, manifests itself in the full-bodied glass and the slight irregularities of blowing, which give uniqueness to each specimen.
