A refined Swedish Modern floor lamp from the 1940s, produced by Ivar Fransson, Industri IWO, Mariestad. This beautifully crafted piece features a sculptural birch-veneer pillar rising from a circular, sunburst-patterned base, showcasing the warm grain and craftsmanship characteristic of Swedish design from the period. At the center of the column sits a large decorative brass sphere, which houses an integrated light switch - both a functional element and a striking visual detail. The lamp is topped with its period-appropriate shade, covered in textured yellow fabric that emits a soft, warm glow when lit and complements the tone of the wood. The overall silhouette is elegant and well-proportioned, balancing clean lines with subtle curves.
