Vintage Design

A beautifully refined chandelier crafted in Venice circa 1940, this elegant fixture is attributable to Barovier & Toso. Its oval frame is fashioned from gracefully curved and twisted Murano glass canes, each element hand-blown to create subtle undulations and highlights in the crystal-clear form. Two cup-shaped diffusers of reeded glass nestle beneath the frame, softly dispersing illumination while accentuating the interplay of light and texture. The supporting structure and decorative accents are forged in gilded brass, culminating in a central stem and a delicately worked glass rosette at the ceiling. Original woven suspension cord and patina on the brass attests to decades of authentic wear. Measuring 65 cm in width, 100 cm in height, and 20 cm in depth, this chandelier emanates timeless Venetian craftsmanship and is ideal for drawing the eye in entry foyers, dining rooms, or salon environments.
