This exquisite mid-century modern rya rug, crafted by a Swedish textile artist in the 1960s, showcases the finest Scandinavian craftsmanship. Handmade from premium "Kamgarn" Persian wool yarn on a cotton-linen foundation, the rug features a plush, high-pile texture that is both soft and durable, inviting comfort and style. The rug’s geometric design presents a sophisticated color palette. A yellow square sits at the center, framed by a thin white and gray border, surrounded by fields in two shades of yellow. Encircling this central section is a border with a repeating pattern featuring four distinct shapes: green crosses, hollow gray squares, hollow gray squares with smaller squares inside, and hollow yellow crosses. This intricate design is completed with an outer gray frame, giving the rug a balanced yet dynamic look.
