About This Piece

Vintage Design

VEB Keramische Werke Haldensleben was a major East German manufacturer of decorative and household ceramics, founded in 1945 from the former Carstens-Uffrecht KG. Known for vases and bowls in the "Fat Lava" style from the 1950s to the 1970s, the products are characterized by opulent glazes, geometric decorations, and high quality. The vase has a four-digit serial number on the base, likely 2978. The vase impresses with its understated surface.
