Tuareg Mat - 377X220 cm is also known as Saharan Mat from the Mauritanian desert. This example of African craftsmanship is in excellent condition, perfect for chic and fashionable decor. Tuareg mat goes perfectly with vintage and contemporary pieces, creating a cozy and stylish environment. Not only in home decor, but also in the world of fashion and film, Tuareg matting is becoming increasingly popular.
These mats were created by Tuareg women from the only local materials: palm wood and sheepskin or dromedary skin cut very finely to allow it to be woven with wood. The colorations were further made with the few locally available colors.
