About This Piece

Vintage Design

This tapestry with the motif "Le chat la lune et le soleil" by Corneille Guillaume van Beverloo appears to be a very early/rare version, as both the artist's signature and the limitation are on the front of the rug . We have not yet been able to research a comparable piece.
This motif was limited to 90 copies and the rug offered is number 6.
The rug was freshly cleaned and re-glued on the back as the bond had become loose over the years. This rug has its own charm and is a classic in Cobra Group design that can be perfectly combined with interior highlights in Art Deco style or Scandinavian design.
The rug is hand-knotted from 100% New Zealand wool and shows no signs of damage.
