In the large scene set outside stands in the left side the laboratory of a farrier, intent with his helpers to work the irons for a horse mind the owner assists; At the center other knights overlooks with their servants who go to the artisan; On the right some popular figures resting on the roadside. Background, a large river landscape opens on the right, while on the left there is access to the village, dominated by a palleous building, with several popular figures intent to their activities: the woman who is about to breastfeed a child, while the other Son runs up for the staircase, another woman spreads the clothes on the balcony of the house built in palafitte on the Roccione, while a man climbs on the staircase.
This is a work created in great probability by a Flemish author operating in Lombardy. Some calls for clothing and construction indicate for the Northern European contamination, while other details indicate the Lombard location of construction.
The painting comes from a prestigious historic residence of noble Lombard family.
Still in the first canvas, it has some cuts and a hole in the lower band; At the back some rattops as an old restoration.
It is presented in thin Coeva Frame.
