About This Piece

This lithograph “La Féérie des Heures - La Brume” is signed Henri Rivière and bears a red stamp at the bottom right. The work is authentic and old.

As for the condition, note small spots and lines of ink in the margin. On the litho, a slight diagonal fold at the top left, a small stain.
The lithograph is very fresh in color, once framed most of the defects will be barely visible.

Henri Rivière (1864-1951) is a French painter, engraver and illustrator. He began his career with drawing then with intaglio engraving and specifically etching in 1882. At the same time he began a career as a director and scenographer, in 1886, from the shadow theater to the Chat Noir cabaret, shows which he improves by creating very innovative colored sets. He then devoted himself exclusively to painting and engraving and established himself in the history of etching, prints, wood engraving, lithography and watercolor (he painted about a thousand watercolors).
