"Handle" is a ceramic jewellery collection inspired by 1934 “Fryderyka” porcelain tableware from the Porcelain Factory “Kristoff”. Richard Tatschner was a designer of “Fryderyka" porcelain dining set who worked in German Waldenburg today Wałbrzych Poland.

Jewellery pieces are made in porcelain. I turn around the meaning and create wearable jewellery pieces inspired by elements from porcelain tableware pieces hat could never be seen this way but only referred to as: “common use object".

"Handle" pin in earrings are handmade with original technique by using white porcelain and carat gold. Porcelain is one of the most durable, sustainable and sophisticated materials used in contemporary jeweler. Color: white, gold and gold plated 925 sterling silver hooks, size 5 cm.

Maria Joanna Juchnowska

Maria Joanna Juchnowska is an artist, designer, curator, founder, and owner of Mari JJ Design, which launched in 2010 in Stockholm but is now based in Oslo.  She regularly cooperates with luxury brands in Europe, Asia, and the US, such as Meissen in Germany and Franz Collection in China and Taiwan. Her recent activities include participation in Dezeen's Virtual Design Week 2020, Fourisalone 2020, Ventura Dubai, Wanted Design New York, Talente International Craft Fair Munich, Der Berliner Salon Vogue Salon with Meissen, International Jingdezhen Porcelain Fair with Franz Collection, British Ceramics Biennial, Munich Creative Business Week, and more. Her many recognitions include laureate and finalist of Future Lights, the European competition organized by Ceramics and Its Dimensions, the Artzept International Design Award Milan, and second stage finalist at Red Dot Awards 2020. Juchnowska is a member of the IAC International Academy of Ceramics, Norske Kunsthåndverkere, Norske Billedkunstnere, and Artaxis International Ceramic Artist Association
