This ear vase by Jean Austruy, made in black ceramic, is distinguished by its superb glaze and its blue-green interior enamel. Despite some small visible gaps at the base, as shown in the photos, it is in very good condition and remains very stable. Jean Austruy, an emblematic figure of post-war ceramists, knew how to reinterpret traditional pottery. Present at the 1953 autumn show alongside big names such as Georges Jouve and Fernand Léger, this vase embodies the legacy of a genius craftsman and the rise of earthly arts.
