About This Piece

Vintage Design

Oversized Italian glass and chrome table lamp from the 1970s with a spectacular hand‑blown glass body of approximately 46 cm diameter, featuring a white opaline ground with dynamic caramel and amber swirls that create a warm, sculptural light object for contemporary interiors. The heavy, closed glass diffuser sits on a low, cylindrical chrome base with distinctive horizontal ribs and a polished top ring, secured by small lateral screws that underline the industrial, space‑age character of the design. When lit, the thick glass softly diffuses the light and enhances the swirling pattern, producing atmospheric ambient illumination ideal for living rooms, lounges, hotel lobbies, reception areas or statement office spaces, while unlit it functions as an impressive decorative centerpiece and collectible vintage design piece. This rare glass and chrome lamp offers iconic 1970s Italian style with its combination of bold organic glasswork and cool metal detailing, making it a perfect choice for lovers of mid‑century modern, space age and Murano‑style lighting who are looking for a unique, one‑of‑a‑kind accent lamp rather than a mass‑produced model. The lamp is equipped with a standard screw bulb holder (E‑type, compatible with LED, halogen or classic bulbs within the recommended wattage) and can be easily integrated into daily use, providing both functional lighting and an eye‑catching art‑glass presence that elevates any minimalist, eclectic or vintage‑inspired interior design concept.

The electrical system has either been replaced and tested, or started up.
