About This Piece

Vintage Design

Antique wooden bedside table. with a simple structure and hinged lid, when opened it reveals a circular cut-out in the inner top, originally intended to accommodate a sanitary container (potty), typical of 19th and early 20th century utilitarian furniture. The piece is finished in varnished wood with a simple design, resting on four short turned feet that slightly raise the structure. The interior shows signs of use and wear consistent with age, including stains, cracks and marks on the wood.
