Nektar De Stagni

Born in 1983 in Miami, DJ and self-taught jewelry designer Nektar De Stagni was raised in California wine country. In 2005, at the age of 21, she founded her first company, a fashion brand focused on ready-to-wear and accessories. That same year, she opened the Miami Design District’s first fashion boutique, where she presented her designs alongside those of other up-and-comers. In 2006, she was selected as one of Gen Art’s “Fresh Faces in Fashion.”

In 2008, De Stagni turned her attention fully to jewelry design and launched her current brand, NDS. She has since collaborated with designers and artists such as Hernan Bas, Martin Oppel, and Paola Pivi. NDS’s clients include The Standard Hotels, Design Miami, Opening Ceremony, and Knoll Textiles. De Stagni’s modern aesthetic is characterized by unexpected material and conceptual juxtapositions.

In 2012, De Stagni opened a second studio in New York, and now divides her time between New York and Miami.
