Nilufar is known as one of Italy’s most active and original galleries dedicated to historical and contemporary design. Founded by Nina Yashar in 1979, the gallery is housed in a three-story space on Milan’s fashionable via della Spiga.

Since the beginning, Nilufar has promoted the work of Italian architecture and design masters, such as Gio Ponti, Angelo Mangiarotti, Gaetano Pesce, Piero Fornasetti, Gino Sarfatti, Alessandro Mendini, and Franco Albini. In recent years, the gallery has begun scouting emerging contemporary talents, commissioning collections from Martino Gamper, Glithero, Bethan Laura Wood and Maarten de Ceulaer.
