About This Piece

Vintage Design

The lamp was designed by Svend Middelboe in 1962 and manufactured by Nordisk Solar. It is a pearl of not only Danish but also global design.

The individual lamp shadows are arranged in a funnel shape towards the center so that the light is reflected at the top and bottom of the lamp. The reflection ensures an even light distribution over the lamp surface.

The lamp is in very good condition for its age, with slight signs of use. It has a scratch on the top visible in the last picture. It is the original copy produced by Nordisk Solar.

The lamp has been thoroughly cleaned and a new 2-meter long braided cable has been installed. A roof lining is attached to each lamp.
