Vintage Design

Black metal sunburst wall lamp with green glass, 1960s

This unique wall lamp features a powerful sunburst shape, where black metal beams spread around the center like a radiant sun. Thick pieces of pressed light green glass are clamped between the metal elements, creating a beautiful diffused light effect.

In the center sits a dark green rosette glass behind which the lamp is located, forming a beautiful contrast with the lighter glass and the black metal. The design is attributed to Holm Sørensen from the 1960s and also bears a resemblance to the cast iron candlesticks by Gunnar Ander for Ystad.

Whether the lamp is lit or not, it is an impressive work of art for the wall. When lit, it provides a warm, atmospheric glow; unlit, it is a sculptural decorative piece with a strong vintage look.

The lamp is fitted with a new cord with a switch and is ready for immediate use.
